Bobbie Sue, 2 year old ACTIVE female Australian Shepherd

Bobbie Sue appears to be an Australian Shepherd, although no one knows for sure as she showed up as a stray.  She does not have any white on her. Her body is black with copper face and legs. Her tail is long, black with beautiful red feathers trailing underneath. Bobbie Sue weighs 65 lbs. and doesn't appear to have gone hungry. Her foster mom can't imagine how she got to their house, unless someone dropped her off.

Bobbie Sue's foster mom says, "I worked with Bobbie Sue this afternoon trying to teach her to sit. Your tip on holding my hand up high worked great. Within about 10 or 15 minutes I not only had her sitting, but staying until I told her she could come. I also spent about 20 minutes brushing her and she did not want me to stop."  Bobbie Sue doesn't seem to like to be outside and will stay in the garage even as hot as it is. About the only way her foster mom can get her to go out under a cool tree is to go with her.  Typical Aussie, smart as a whip and always wanting to be with "her people".  ;-)

Bobbie Sue demonstrates a little jealousy toward the other two dogs at her foster home, but with a little work could probably get past this issue.  Her foster mom is currently working on this with her.  This is not uncommon in dogs who have gone without love for a while and suddenly have it again in their life. She needs a dog savvy owner, who will provide leadership in order to help Bobbie Sue understand her place in the home.

She has been seen by a vet, who deemed her healthy and surprisingly, heartworm free!  Her foster mom had the vet give her the 6 month heartworm shot at the check up and she will be brought up-to-date on shots and spayed before placement.
