Bouvier Pups with Angel, Carol
These puppies were rescued in early April at the age of 5 months from a shelter.  Reportedly, they had 6 acres to roam and play on.  Being inside a house was new to them, as was walking on a leash and being around other dogs.  They were all treated for round worms as well as tape worms.  Each of the puppies have been spayed, brought up to date on shots, microchipped, and crate trained.

In this photo, they are shown the day we picked them up, with their angel, Carol.  Carol spotted them in her local shelter and immediately went to work to find someone with Bouvier rescue.  She pulled these babies from the shelter for us, took them to her vet where they were checked, vacinated against Bordatella, bathed, wormed, and boarded until we could meet to pick these darlings up.

Loved and rescued by Suzanne and Greg.  These puppies have all gone on to find loving homes, natural tails and all.  Updates on the puppies in their new homes will be posted as they become available.

Puppy Info:

AGE: 5 months old as of April 2002
BREED: Bouvier des Flandres
SPAY STATUS: Spayed Tuesday, April 16
HOUSEBROKEN: Still working on that.  All puppies have been learning to stay in a crate.  They are fed in their crate, sleep in their crate, and stay in their crate while we are away from home.
COLOR: Colors range from Black Brindle to a Fawn Brindle.
OBEDIENCE: All puppies have learned how to walk on a lead and are adjusting to walking on a loose lead.  We are beginning to work on basic manners with all puppies.
WEIGHT: The puppies weight between 35 and 46 pounds.   Some are a little thin, but we are working on that as well.
DOCK & CROP: All 4 puppies have natural ears.  3 of the 4 puppies have natural tails.
GENERAL HEALTH: The puppies are fairly healthy.  All have been wormed for round and tape worms.  One puppy had an ear infection in both ears and is being treated.  The puppy with the docked tail has an open wound on the end of the tail.  The tail will have to be re-docked when she is spayed.  She is also on meds.
WORKING INSTINCT: These puppies will need to go to homes where they will either be given a job to do or where someone will work with them in obedience, agility, herding or some type of "job".  They are very active and will need an outlet.  These puppies are not for the "faint of heart".
PHOTOS: Photos of all of the girls as we picked them up from their Angel, Carol, as well as photos of them arriving to our home.  Also, photos of the puppies after their first grooming.  All photos taken the weekend we picked them up.  More photos to be posted soon.
