"See?  I can act like a Border Collie".  Casey and his new best friends, SHEEP!!

We started herding lessons with Shelly Spotswood of Louisiana in January 1998.  It has taken 6 months for Casey and me to "click".  We are so happy to be working with Shelly!  She is everything we were looking for in a herding instructor - patient, willing to work with non-typical herding breeds, and most of all knew how to deal with a dog who wanted to chase those sheep!!!!  Adam and Sissy are herding as well - Photos of them here soon!

Although this is obviously a photograph that was double-exposed, the first time we saw it we had to laugh.  This is exactly how I am sure Shelly felt when we first started taking lessons!!  You had to be all over the place to catch up with The Case Man!!   The human in the photo is our herding instructor, Shelly Spotswood.

Amanda is my niece, my sister's little girl.  Sandy is a Golden Retriever my sister and her husband adopted not long after they were married.  She lived many wonderful years with them, helping to bring their two little girls into the world, protecting and loving them more than anyone could have imagined.  Sandy went to live in Heaven almost two years ago.  We all miss her to very much, but we all know we have yet another Angel in Heaven watching over us, waiting to see us all again.  We love you Sandy girl........

Buster Lee Saunders - Buster is an English Setter-Lab mix and belongs to another sister and her husband.  Buster is a big talker and probably has an IQ that could compete with humans!!
